Centre County Marriage Records
- Before 1885
- No official marriage records were kept by the county or state prior to October 1, 1885, except for a brief period from 1852-1854 when they were recorded by the county. The records from 1852-1854 are available at the Centre County Register of Wills office and are indexed in the publications described below.
- A three series set of Centre County Marriages covering 1800-1885: 1800-1850, 1851-1873, & 1874-1885 - based on records found in minister's records, church records, family bibles, newspaper accounts, justice of the peace dockets, etc - is available for use at the Pennsylvania Room.
- CCGS Centre County Marriage Index CD-ROM (1764-2005) - also includes marriages from the three series set of Centre County Marriages, 1800-1885 - is available for use at the Pennsylvania Room or for purchase from Centre County Genealogical Society.
- After 1885 (after October 1, 1885)
- Transcribed Marriage Records for persons with a Centre County connection can be found online:
